ON LOVE

When love beckons to you, follow him,
Though his ways are hard and steep.
And when his wings enfold you yield to him,
Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.
And when he speaks to you believe in him,
Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden.

For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning.
Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun,
So shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth.

Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto himself.
He threshes you to make you naked.
He sifts you to free you from your husks.
He grinds you to whiteness.
He kneads you until you are pliant;
And then he assigns you to his sacred fire, that you may become sacred bread for God's sacred feast.

All these things shall love do unto you that you may know the secrets of your heart, and in that knowledge become a fragment of Life's heart.

But if in your fear you would seek only love's peace and love's pleasure,
Then it is better for you that you cover your nakedness and pass out of love's threshing-floor,
Into the seasonless world where you shall laugh, but not all of your laughter, and weep, but not all of your tears.
Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself.
Love possesses not nor would it be possessed;
For love is sufficient unto love.

When you love you should not say, "God is in my heart," but rather, "I am in the heart of God."
And think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.

Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself.
But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires:
To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.
To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own understanding of love;
And to bleed willingly and joyfully.
To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving;
To rest at the noon hour and meditate love's ecstasy;
To return home at eventide with gratitude;
And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise upon your lips. ---Kahlil Gibran

***this was one of the literary pieces that we discussed in our Literature class... i look up to every meeting with my professor because i am able to release what's inside of me and at the same time, i learn form the views and reflections of the people i interact with inside the classroom... it is really when one is faced with truth and reality that he is able to appreciate the beauty of life more... :)

WHAT HURTS THE MOST

I can take the rain on the roof of this empty house
That don’t bother me
I can take a few tears now and then and just let them out
I’m not afraid to cry every once in a while
Even though going on with you gone still upsets me
There are days every now and again I pretend I’m ok
But that’s not what gets me

What hurts the most
Was being so close
And having so much to say
And watching you walk away
And never knowing
What could have been
And not seeing that loving you
Is what I was tryin’ to do

It’s hard to deal with the pain of losing you everywhere I go
But I’m doin’ It
It’s hard to force that smile when I see our old friends and I’m alone
Still Harder
Getting up, getting dressed, livin’ with this regret
But I know if I could do it over
I would trade give away all the words that I saved in my heart
That I left unspoken

What hurts the most
Is being so close
And having so much to say
And watching you walk away
And never knowing
What could have been
And not seeing that loving you
Is what I was trying to do

What hurts the most
Is being so close
And having so much to say
And watching you walk away
And never knowing
What could have been
And not seeing that loving you
Is what I was trying to do

Not seeing that loving you
That’s what I was trying to do

Currently feeling: slipping away

I went to Caliraya last week for the Leadership Training... It was really fun!!!!

food! friends! learnings! mudslide! amazing race! challanges! talks! leadership! building bridges! socialization night! food (again)! and many more!!!!

"The leaders who work most effectively, it seems to me, never say "I." And that's not because they have trained themselves not to say "I." They don't think "I." They think "we"; they think "team." They understand their job to be to make the team function. They accept responsibility and don't sidestep it, but "we" gets the credit…. This is what creates trust, what enables you to get the task done."

Bwahaha! At last!, after 2 weeks, my computer is working again!!! :)

The technician just went here a while ago to check on some things and zap, its working again!... hahaha... just checked my emails and offline messages...hmmm... nothing really important, except for the orientation skeds my classmate sent me... huh, back to school again in 3 days...

I spent the remaining days of my break just watching TV and DVDs (since the computer isn’t working! Grr!). Well, I had fun though. I watched the movies I haven’t watched yet on DVD.  I think i was able to watch 5 movies...hmmm.. let me just recall...

·   The Barber Shop – really funny and good movie... just made me value the worth of the things and persons I have with me more...
·   Cast Away – well, it was good... just got some kinda bored during the part when Tom Hanks was all alone in the island, hah, there were hardly speaking lines! (but to think of it, who’s he gonna speak to when he’s all alone??!! Well, he got Wilson the ball there... Haha). I also wasn’t able to understand the ending... hahaha! Am I a little slow or sumthing??!!! :)
·   A Lot Like Love – it was ok...  aww, suddenly remembered the part wherein Amanda Peet slammed herself on the glass wall, ouch! Haha!
·   Bridget Jones The Edge of Reason – fun and romantic...  so many funny scenes... Bridget landing on pigs and the scenes inside the jail (teacing her inmates the right lyrics of Like a Virgin..hahaha!, She also gave away BRAs, clothes, books, really funny! She was always called “Beeshit” by the police and her inmates, haha! They just can’t pronounce it right, hehe!)
·   Troy – nice movie!!!! Fourth year HS days suddenly went back... haha! We happen to study it back in highschool during our English class. :)
·   The Bachelor – nice movie! Imagine thousands of girls chasing you to be your bride!!!! Hahaha! Really funny!
·   Spider Man – twas my second time to watch the movie actually.. wasn’t really paying attention the first time I saw it so i decided to watch it again, haha! Well, twas nice... :)

Hahaha! 7 movies not 5....

It’s now getting very dark outside... grrrrr.. I think its gonna rain again!!! I hate it when rain water goes inside our house... It’s able to penetrate the doors... grrrr....  i’ll have to do some cleaning again in case... I hate being wet and soaked on water when it’s raining... hehehehe... hope it wouldn’t rain that hard... hahaha....

Huh, 3 days before school starts... I’ll be going back to my boarding house tomorrow or on Tuesday morning. I still have MANY things to fix!!!!!!! Books, clothes, cabinets.... haaaah!!!! I’ll be starting as soon as I can.. hehehe.... well, ‘til next time... :D

***oh, my memory is really getting poorer!! haha.. i was also able to watch something's gotta give... haha.. so a total of 8 movies, not 7! haha! it was good... it's actually on my favorite movies list right now.. haha. twas really great!
